Dr. Julia Costa López
Julia Costa López is Senior Lecturer in History and Theory of International Relations at the University of Groningen. She studied Political Science at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain) and International Relations at the University of Cambridge (MPhil, 2010) and the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, as a Fulbright Scholar. She holds a doctorate in International Relations from the University of Oxford (2016). Her work focuses on international relations and political thought in the late-medieval and early modern periods, as well as on the mobilization of history and memory in current political discourse. She is one of the editors of the Routledge Handbook of Historical International Relations and her work has been published in journals such as International Organization, Review of International Studies, or International Studies Review. She is a current member of the Young Academy Groningen.
